Microsoft 365 Subscription

Why You Need To Have A Microsoft365 Subscription

I know, I know, I just published a blog post and a YouTube Video on how to get Microsoft 365 for free. Why am I now saying to get a subscription? I will be explaining just a few of the benefits you will receive from having a subscription along with a few expanded features in some of the apps.

With a Microsoft 365 subscription, you can work both online and offline. If your internet goes down, you still have access to documents on your computer through the OneDrive folder. Once the internet is connected again, it will sync with the offline directories.

If your computer crashes, you can go to any other computer to get to your files just by logging in to your account.

Pricing as of this writing is just $99.00 a year (September 2023). For that price, you get a lot of bang for your buck.

Sorry, I just have to say this comparison: Just going out to dinner twice a year will cost that, and you don’t have anything to show after dinner and/or dessert.

You have access to many other apps that can be used as shown on the left bar and the top of the screen. You see more when you click on the APPS icon on the left tool bar.

Teams conference call software, excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and many other helpful tools. On the top right is an all-in-one Video Recorder and Editor that is simple but powerful to create basic, quick videos.

They now have a video creator/editor app named Clipchamp, an app named “Designer” that is similar to Canva, a Text to Image app, an AI text generator similar to ChatGPT, a Text to Image Creator app, and others.

The subscription version has more fonts, templates, art, charts, and other options for you to use. And A/I is a been incorporated into most of the apps. Soon the AI will be more powerful.

For the $99.00 a year subscription, you can add 5 users to the account that can be separate from your account, but still has access to all the apps. Or keep a couple of accounts for yourself as a spare or backup. Even with multiple accounts, you can set it up so you can access files between accounts.

What if you go in with a friend or family member? Then it will be $50.00 each for the year with full access and 3 accounts for each of you.

Everything today is going photos or videos. With Google, you will run out of space soon if you have lots of videos and photos saved.

With the Microsoft 365 subscription, you get one terabyte of file storage for each account. Even just using one account you probably won’t run out of file space.

If you need more space, assign yourself a second account and have 2 terabytes of storage to use for more files. Or use it to back up the first account’s files.

You can get more cloud storage by purchasing file space through Google, DropBox, or other platforms that offer space. But that can get expensive.

For both Google and Dropbox, it is $9.99/month for 2TB so times that by 3 for 6 TB or about $360.00 for one year.

So you can see for $99.00 you get six terabytes of file storage.

I hope this post gave you some good information. If you liked this post and will grab a cup of coffee or a cold drink and join me in another post adventure.
